Briolf Group to invest more than 30 million in its first production plant in the United States
Briolf Group enters for the first time in the top 50 of Coatings World's Top Companies
It is placed in 45th position, reaffirming its position as one of the main players in the global coatings market.
Briolf Group, an industrial group based in Girona, Spain, with a major global presence in the paint and coatings manufacturing sector, is celebrating in a special way its spectacular entry into the top 50 positions in the Coatings World's Top Companies report by reaching 45th position.
The group has climbed 29 positions since 2020, its first appearance on the list of the world's top-selling coatings companies, thanks to the strong growth achieved during 2023, which has placed it inside the top50.
It is worth highlighting the fact that Briolf Group remains the only Spanish company on the list and at the same time, to put in value the maintenance of a privileged position among those companies that have a family ownership.
Briolf Group closed 2023 with an impressive growth in turnover of close to 30%, to 269 million dollars (about 245 million euros). This rise is the result of an excellent combination of significant organic growth (the result of international expansion and the strengthening of existing businesses), together with the notable contribution of recent acquisitions. Both aspects should continue to add up in the future, which suggests that the group's performance will remain positive in the short term.
As it has been doing for decades, the Coatings World's Top Companies report is a well-recognized tool in the industry to rank the main players in the coatings market. The report evaluates global firms with annual sales in excess of $100 million, giving readers an insider's view of the industry's major players and macro developments.
This year, the list has grown from 73 to 77 companies. The main change is that the American corporation, Sherwin Williams, has snatched the top position from its American competitor, PPG.
