50 activities for the 50th anniversary
A direct way to recognize and draw attention to a shared history
Fifty years of history is only completed once. Therefore, during part of this year and the last, the multinational company has hosted a total of 50 events, promotions, celebrations and special activities to commemorate this very special anniversary.
In particular, the company set itself the clear goal of celebrating its five decades of experience in a special way: carrying out a total of 50 activities –'50 for the 50th'– to recall each and every one of the years of its history. This is how we wanted to demonstrate the values and pillars of the company, as well as to recognize and raise awareness of all the members that, directly and indirectly, form part of this entity.
Ranging from competitions on Instagram, the publication of a book on the history of Roberlo and an emotive video, to the creation of a specific graphic image and office stationery linked to the 50th anniversary, as well as a surprise tribute to the founder of the company, solidarity campaigns and a paddle tennis tournament.
A year full of emotion
To start the celebrations, the firm designed a logo that was incorporated into Roberlo's graphic material and packaging. At the same time, the publicity campaign in on-line and off-line specialist media outlets has shown the history of the company in a visual way. All this has been accompanied by the hashtag #roberlo50, through which the firm has been showcasing some of its best snapshots taken over the years.
At the same time, and as part of our wish to share this anniversary with the sector, an Instagram competition was held with a prize draw for two 50th anniversary special edition spray guns, which have already sold more than 1000 units.
Emotive and special events
As the anniversary coincided with a full year of important trade fairs, the company took advantage of the Automechanika Frankfurt event to organize a commemorative evening with some of our customers, distributors and agents in order to thank them for the trust they have placed in us over all these years. An event that the Roberlo Argentina subsidiary also subsequently held at Automechanika Buenos Aires.
Another of the emotive events was the Open Day where family and friends of employees were able to describe what Roberlo was like from the inside. The tour through the facilities, with information, games, exhibits and applications relating to paint, passed through the production plants, the Crom Techno Center and the CIM logistics stores. At the same time, the Roberlo team and the visitors were able to see for the first time the complete 'Roberlo Deep Light' work by the urban artist Michael Beerens, which was created on the water tank at the Roberlo factory in Riudellots de la Selva, Girona.
The high point of the activities took place in Mas Marroch, the center belonging to one of the best restaurants in the world – El Celler de Can Roca– where more than 300 people came together. In this emblematic space, the 50th anniversary dinner took place with the entire Roberlo team, where there were great surprises, speeches, honors, musical and artistic performances, and gifts for the entire team who have combined their efforts to make Roberlo what it is today, one of the benchmark companies in the car refinishing sector and industrial sectors.
